Gates of Olympus rules and symbol paytable

Gates of Olympus has few rules, and nearly all of them come down to one thing: count the matching symbols. Below is how payouts are awarded and what each symbol pays.

Eight of a kind, wherever they land

The grid has six reels of five positions, thirty symbols in all. There are none of the lines along which combinations form in classic slots. The game simply counts how many times each symbol appears on screen and pays for those that reach eight or more. Whether they sit side by side or are spread across the whole grid makes no difference. Payouts come in three tiers, for 8–9 symbols, for 10–11 and for 12 or more, and the last tier is noticeably more generous than the first two.

Tumbles

After the count the winning symbols disappear from the grid. Those above drop into the empty places and new ones fall from the top. The game then counts again, and if something has formed once more, the payout is added to the previous one. All of this happens within a single bet: you pay for the spin once, and it may contain one tumble or five. The spin ends when a recount finds no combination at all.

What the symbols pay

Payouts in the table are given in bets. If you play at 2,000 soums, 2× means 4,000 soums and 50× is already 100,000.

Symbol8–910–1112+
Crown10×25×50×
Hourglass2.5×10×25×
Ring2×5×15×
Chalice1.5×2×12×
Red gem1×1.5×10×
Purple gem0.8×1.2×8×
Yellow gem0.5×1×5×
Green gem0.4×0.9×4×
Blue gem0.25×0.75×2×

You can see how much more the top symbols are worth. Twelve crowns pay 50 bets, while twelve blue gems pay only two. The cheap gems are also the ones that land most often, so a typical base-game win is smaller than the amount staked. The figures in the table are a guide; the game itself always shows the current values behind the “i” button.

Zeus, also known as the Scatter

The Zeus symbol follows its own rules. It takes no part in ordinary combinations and pays separately: four of them bring 3 bets, five bring 5 bets and six bring 100 straight away. Its main job is something else, though: four or more Scatters on the grid start a round of 15 free spins.

Buttons and modes

The bet is changed with the “+” and “−” buttons, and its limits are set by the operator. Autoplay runs a chosen number of spins without you, and it deserves caution: combined with turbo mode it lets you place a hundred bets in a couple of minutes without even noticing. Neither autoplay nor turbo affects the result; they only change how fast the balance goes.
